3.0 Full Bin - Parts Window

Modified on Fri, 7 Nov at 1:05 PM

The Parts Window contains a field called "Full Bin" on the Pricing/Qty Tab that is used to indicate a quantity that you do not want to stock more of in your primary bin in Softbase.

When the user generates an Auto Stock Order from the Purchase Order Window the process will look at the Full Bin Quantity of the Part that is being suggested to order.  If for example the Full Bin Quantity was 10 and you had 2 On Hand in your Inventory and you had another 5 already On Order on an open PO in Softbase and Softbase calculated that you should order 12 (based on Part Demand), the suggested quantity would only be 3 vs. 5.

It came to the calculation of 3 as it sees you have 2 On Hand + 5 On Order for a total of 7.  Softbase says you should have 12 based on the Parts Demand but that is overriden by the Full Bin Quantity of 10 that say regardless of what it thinks I should stock, the dealer only has room for 10 so it would order up to that amount vs. the amount based on the Parts Demand.
