Service Van Replenishment

Service Vans and Consignment inventories work the same way.

First, the Service Van or Consignment must be set up as a warehouse. See Warehouse Setup.

Second, the inventory must be set up properly for the warehouse. Establish your desired inventory and ensure that you set the ‘Minimum Qty’ and ‘Maximum Qty’ for each part in the Service Van / Consignment in order to maintain inventories at your desired level.

Once the Warehouse and Inventory are set up correctly you will simply run your Service Van Replenishment periodically to replenish your van stock.

As time goes on you will be selling parts out of the service van rather than the main warehouse on occasion. As these transactions take place of course you van stock is depleting. So at some point you will want to run a van replenishment, which will look for all parts that have moved out of the specific van warehouse (since the previous replenishment). The process will reference what the min and max qty should be then will identify what should be replenished into that van.

**** Note the Warehouse Inventory GL Account must be populated as well as the Van Maximum Quantity must be greater than 0 to be included on the Replenishment Print Out.  ****

In the Parts window click "Replenishment". The following screen will appear.

Select the Branch for which you would like to replenish inventories. From the radio buttons, choose "Service Vans" or "Consignments". A list of corresponding service vans or consigned locations will appear in the drop down list. A check mark will automatically be next to each item in the list. This means that this unit / location will be included in this replenishment procedure. If you would like to not replenish a unit / location, just remove the check from the desired line item.

Click on the "Replenish" button to complete the replenishment.

You will be asked if you are sure you want to run the replenishment, simply click Yes.

Click the Print icon and select "Print All 3 Lists".

Consolidated - Runs a report that shows all items transferred from the supplying warehouse to the vans / consigned inventories.

Distribution - Runs a separate report for each van / consignment that shows what is being supplied. This report is intended to be left with the parts for the van / consignment.

Still Need - This report will show what items cannot be filled from the supplying warehouse due to insufficient quantity. These parts will presumably be added to the next main warehouse stock order.

All Three Reports - Runs all of the above reports.

When the process is done, the system will have indicated that the parts have been moved from the supplying warehouse to the service van warehouse, therefore the only thing left to do is physically pull the specified parts and distribute them to the appropriate van.
