Equipment setup - what is the over-ride inventory account for?
If the over-ride inventory account field is left blank the default inventory account that is assigned to the department will be used when selling the equipment as far as what account number is to be relieved for the value of the equipment.
However if there is a different account number in the over-ride inventory account field this will be used instead of the default inventory account for the department to determine what inventory account is to be relieved when selling the equipment.
Example:
When you sell this piece of equipment it will relieve the default inventory account that is assigned to the department
If you were to add a different account number into the Over-ride Inventory Account field
If you were to sell this equipment with the over-ride account number in the equipment setup it would relieve the over-ride account number instead of the default inventory account
