Equipment Unit Type Setup

The Unit Type parameter is available within Equipment Setup and Model Setup pages. This feature allows users to categorize units and models based on their type and utilize tailored spec fields based on the Unit Type selected. 

Equipment Setup – Unit Type

The Unit Type must be specific when adding a new unit within the Equipment Setup page. 

• Available Unit Types:
  • Lift Truck
  • Battery/Charger
  • Trailer

Navigate to General > Equipment > +Equipment to create a new Equipment record and specify Unit Type.  

• Impact on the Specs Tab:
  • Fields on the Specs Tab of the Equipment Setup screen will adjust based on the selected Unit Type.
  • Default values will be prefilled according to the Model configuration.

Model Setup – Unit Type

• The Unit Type must be specified when adding a new model.
• Available Unit Types:
  • Lift Truck
  • Battery/Charger
  • Trailer

Default Specifications:

• Users can define default specifications for a model based on its Unit Type.
• When creating a new unit, these specifications will automatically populate in the Specs Tab.
