Release Notes - Softbase Service 2.2.29


Equipment History 

  • From Equipment History a scroll bar has been added so that the full comments of a WO can be viewed. 

  • The top 200 limit has been removed when years back is provided so that all Equipment History for a Serial # will be returned. 


  • The buttons to Attach an Image to the Equipment or Work Order have been moved to the top so you no longer need to scroll to see the buttons when taking images in landscape mode. 


  • The Inspection report now displays the Section and Questions in alphanumeric order.


  • Partial quantities, to two decimal places, can now be added in Softbase Service. When the part is imported the partial quantity is represented correctly. 

  • WO Parts, PM Parts Optional & Required, and Other Charges are now visible to both the main and secondary technician dispatched to a WO. 


  • The PM page was updated so that the data for each WO is displayed appropriately. 


  • You can now select and email to multiple email addresses pulled from the customer record.

  • Customer Signatures are now visible when a secondary technician is also dispatched to a WO. 

  • Comments that were intended to be included when emailing Invoices from Evolution are no longer included in the Recap email from Softbase Service. 

  • Labor Times will now print on the Recap if the Company record is set to “Include Labor Times on Mobile Recap”.

Time Cards

  • The ability to close the Time Card view window has been added. 

  • A fix was made so that the Ship To Customer Name and Serial Number, where applicable, is always visible on the Time Card. 

  • Multiple Time Cards can now be created for the same date range. Each new time card is saved with the date range of the Time Card and the date/time that the Time Card was created. This will prevent Time Cards from being overwritten. 




  • The inspection is now displayed, saved, emailed, and printed in Portrait mode to utilize space more effectively.

Offline Mode 

  • A change was made so that the Offline Mode Banner is appropriately displayed when a heartbeat for the Softbase Connect API is ran and no network is detected. 

  • A new Online Mode banner will be visible in the top right corner when network is available and the Softbase Connect API is reachable. 

  • A user can now manually initiate Offline/Online Mode by tapping the title banner twice. This will pop up a menu with an Option to Go Offline or Go Online When Available respectively. A user can use this to Go Offline when they are expected to be in a location with spotty network. This new feature will prevent the loss of data when moving in and out of network. When network is available and the user selects Go Online When Available all the data will be synced.


  • The Recap can now be printed in French when the device's language/region is set to French/Canada. 

Note: To see these changes on Android devices the Softbase Service application must be installed while the device’s language/region is set to French/Canada.
