How to Add a User to Softbase 3.0


The Personnel Setup window contains general information on employees including the option to choose if the employee is a mechanic or not.
These instructions will guide you on how to set up a user that can login to Softbase 3.0, be used as a Mechanic or both.  


Personnel Setup Window


  1. Go into the Administration tab from the Main Menu and select the Personnel Window.  
  2. Enter your required information. (i.e. Employee number, names, contact info, etc...).  
  3. In the General tab of this window, you will want to check the Mechanic? checkbox to set that employee as a mechanic if you need to enter Labor for them on a Work Order.  If this isn't a Mechanic then you don't need to set that checkbox.  
  4. Set the Active Employee checkbox to ensure they can login to Softbase.  
  5. Ensure you have correct security setup on the Database and Softbase Application if you choose to enter Personal information such as the SSN and Driver's License.  
  6. Click on the green Add button when ready to add the User.
