1. The Equipment Program allows for serial numbers to be "attached" to each other, such as attaching a battery serial number to an electric forklift.
In the Equipment Program, click the "Search by Serial #" field and enter the serial number of the "parent unit" (unit with the attachment) or utilize the search function to locate it.
2. Select the serial number of the unit.
3. Under the Specs tab scroll down to the "Attached to Serial #" field and ensure the "parent unit" is attached to its own serial number.
4. Locate your "child unit" (attachment/battery) Equipment Record
5. Click "Edit"
6. Scroll down to the "Attached to Serial #" field and enter the "parent unit's" serial number.
7. Click "Save"
8. At the bottom of the Equipment Record the attached serial numbers will be shown for both the "parent" and "child" unit.

1. Open Equipment from General page.
2. Select piece of equipment you're adding the attachment to.
3. Click "Edit" to enable changes.
4. Open "Specs" tab.
5. Enter serial number of attachment into this field.
6. Click Save. Attached serial number will now remain listed on this record.
