Modified on Wed, 17 Sep at 10:38 AM

After the customer has been successfully converted, the AR Terms need to be set on the customer record in order for the customer to appear in searches for documents to be opened and invoiced. Also listed are other fields on the customer record that you will want to ensure are set appropriately for the customer before opening/invoicing documents.

Below are some steps and fields to review and update as necessary

  1. Go to Accounting → Customers.

  2. Find the customer using Customer # or Customer Name.
  3. Click the Gear Icon → Edit.
  4. Go to the Terms tab.
  5. Check if AR Terms is blank.
  6. Select the appropriate AR Terms (e.g., Net 30, Due on Receipt).
    1. If setting the AR Terms to an "on account" option, also ensure that the appropriate credit limit has been set.
    2. Also on this tab this is where you will set the options for statements and if a PO is required
  7. Change the customer number
    1. When converted the system will default to numbering the customer CRMXXXX, you can change that number of the customer to follow your current customer number system
    2. Select the Change Number button in the toolbar and then enter in the new customer number
  8. Set the Tax Code ( if necessary) on the Tax Rates tab
  9. Set the Parts and Labor rates ( if necessary) on the Rates and Parts tabs
  10. Set the email address fields ( if necessary ) on the Web/Email tab
