How to Assign a Transportation Record to a Tracking #

Modified on Tue, 31 Dec, 2024 at 9:14 AM

You must be in Edit mode of a Tracking # to Assign a Transportation Record.

To Assign one or more Transportation Records select the records from the Transportation Record data grid and click the Assign button. The selected records must have the Same Origin and Customer #. If they do not have the Same Origin and Customer # you will receive a warning message, and the units will not be assigned.

When the selected Transportation Records do have the Same origin and Customer # they will be added to the Assigned Units grid in the bottom left. The Tacking # header Origin and Destination information will be auto populated for you based on the selected Transportation Records. If the Transportation Record was created from a Purchase Order the Vendor information will also auto populate for you in the Origin/Destination customer information fields. Any additional Transportation Records that are to be assigned to this Tracking # must match the Origin and Customer # of the already assigned units. If not, you will be warned again.

Transportation Records can be Unassigned by selecting one or more records in the Assigned Units data grid and then clicking the Unassign button. The selected records will be moved back to the Transportation Record list in the bottom right and can be assigned at a later time or to a different Tracking #.
