How to Create a New Transportation Record

New Transportation Records can be created directly in the Transporation Log program or from Invoicing and Purchase Order.


From the Transportation Log program, a new Transportation Record can be created while in Edit mode of a Tracking #. The middle section of the page is where the Transportation Record details will be added. Once the required fields are provided click the Add button. The record will then be added to the Transportation Record list in the bottom right grid of the Tracking #.


From the Invoicing module, a Transportation Record can be added by clicking the Truck icon on the Service 1 tab, provided a Serial # is specified. On the Rental and Equip tabs, the Truck icon becomes enabled when one or more units are selected in the data grid. A separate Transportation Record will be created for each selected unit. 



Once Save is selected the New Transportation Records will be added to the Transportation Record list in the bottom right grid of the Tracking #. Records created from the Service 1 tab will display a Reason/Purpose of Service in the Transportation Log program. Records from the Rental tab will display a Reason/Purpose of Rental, while those from the Equip tab will show a Reason/Purpose of EQ Sale in the Transportation Log program.



From the Purchase Order module, a Transportation Record can be added by clicking the Truck icon on the Equipment tab after a Serial # has been selected in the data grid. Once Save is selected on the popup, the new Transportation Record will be added to the Transportation Record list in the bottom right grid of the Tracking #, with a Reason/Purpose of EQ PO
