AR Deposit Import Function

The AR Deposit Import feature is designed to import bank lockbox files and automatically apply payments to those invoices. This feature is not enabled for all customers.  This is not a general-purpose import like Journal Entry Import as it requires a preformatted file provided to you by your bank.

Common Examples Include: 

Wells Fargo Lockbox

U.S. Bank Lockbox

Bank of America / Merrill

PNC Wholesale Lockbox

To identify if you have the right file it follow this format:

Fixed-width text file with each line representing a payment detail

Example: 

PLASTIC EXPRESS 07P25262800000000000767160000847040000000002008051

This line contains:

Customer Name

Invoice Number

Amount Paid

Check Number

Total Check Amount

If you do have a file that matches this format, then you can use this feature.
