Standard Price File Format

Modified on Fri, 12 Jul at 9:12 AM

Softbase Evolution allows for a user to import a price file or price list from a vendor that we may not have a known price file layout for.  We refer to this as the "Standard" Price File option.

A user would need to have a price list or a price file in an Microsoft Excel format with the columns of data being in the following order;

  1. Part Number
  2. Description
  3. Cost
  4. List
  5. Replaced By

When a user chooses the Standard Price File option to import they provide a name of what the Price File is.  That will be the Supplier Name that is used to link to the Parts Group Setup on the Re-Price Tab.  That setup allows you to then update the Parts Cost, List and Description of parts setup in Softbase from the Standard Price File you imported.
